The 2nd Yangmingism International Forum, jointly hosted by the Guizhou Chinese Culture Institute and the Hong Kong Chinese Education Culture Exchange Foundation, was held on July 26-27 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

This two-day forum attracted over 60 renowned scholars and experts specializing in Yangmingism from China, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. The forum aimed to deepen the exploration, systematic organization, research-based transformation, and global promotion of Yangming culture. It also sought to disseminate China's outstanding traditional cultures worldwide and expand exchanges among civilizations.

During the opening ceremony, 25 experts delivered keynote speeches on the modern studies of Yangmingism.

On July 27, participating experts engaged in two academic dialogues at Longgang Academy within the China Yangming Cultural Park. They also conducted field studies at historic sites, including Yangming Cave, Wanyiwo, and Guiyang Confucius Academy.

In June 2024, the Hong Kong Yangming Academy was established and hosted the inaugural Yangmingism International Forum. Over the past year, the academy has strengthened cultural exchanges between Guizhou and Hong Kong while promoting Yangmingism internationally.

Through exploration and collaboration, the forum is emerging as a vital platform for sharing Yangming Studies globally, disseminating Chinese traditional culture, and facilitating cross-cultural dialogue.
